SECTION ONE: PROCESS OVERVIEW

WHY: Briefly explain why the process is important.
> Some of the video/audio that we share with our clients come with transcript or with subtitles. Some of our clients have English as a second language, so this is helpful for them. In other cases, these transcripts are used internally to prepare blog posts, highlight important parts, prepare testimonials, etc.
INTERVAL: How often does this process need to be complete?
> On request.
SECTION TWO: PROCESS EXECUTION
STEP #1
Skip this step if the transcript is for internal use only - won’t be shared with clients.
Get the audio cleaned by Luka Djordevic (priority) or Goran Krstic (backup) - both from UpWork - as it is better to have the transcript based on the final audio to make sure that it matches.
If the speed is the priority, go to step #2.
STEP #2
Once it is cleaned, upload it to rev.com for the transcript.
If the audio/video has intro/outro (like podcast), please upload the version without these parts, these should not be parts of the final outcome, we don’t need those in the transcript.
If both are required - the transcript and the subtitles, then order subtitles only, rev.com delivers the transcript with it for the same price.
STEP #3
Skip this step if the transcript is for internal use only - won’t be shared with clients.
Subtitles/transcript that will be shared with clients needs to be checked - as the rev.com outcome usually have mistakes. If the video/audio is short, you can do it by yourself. If not, please contact Kim Wiesenberger (upwork) for the final check.
If something is not clear after the final check, contact Jan for checking.
STEP #4
The final file please upload to the same folder as the original audio/video file.
For transcript - Google doc / MSFT doc file in the same folder as is the video and the same name as the original video/audio with suffix: -transcript
For subtitles - the .srt file. The file name same as the video name, just with the following suffix:-subtitles
STEP #5
Contact the person who requested it and inform him/her about the file location and name.
SECTION THREE: REPORTING
WHO: Who should be the outcome send to?
> The person who requested it.
WHAT: What are you expecting to see in the outcome?
> If it is for clients, then complete file with the logo of BTA or of the course in the header (upper right corner), disclaimer in the footer. And names for all speakers (even when there is just one - as people might not be familiar with the voice of the speaker).
Without transcript of intro/outro.
WHEN: When does the person reviewing the outcome want it?
> The transcripts usually take several hours, at most a couple of days.
HOW: How should the outcome be delivered?
