SECTION ONE: PROCESS OVERVIEW

TITLE: What are you calling this process?

> Prepare an audio file from a video.

SUMMARY: A one-sentence description of the process.

> For most of the videos, we also provide to our clients audio files to download as well.

 

WHY: Briefly explain why the process is important.

> Some people like to listen to these files in a car, when they are running, etc.

INTERVAL: How often does this process need to be complete?

> On request.

   

SECTION TWO: PROCESS EXECUTION

STEP #1

Install the following programs:

Once the video is final, import it to Audacity (file -> open; or drag and drop)

STEP #3

Go to file -> export -> Export as MP3:

STEP #4

Select the name (based on the naming convention for each course). The quality will be standard, variable speed fast - default values.

STEP #5

Skip the next screen (metatags) - we will add them later using the MP3tag program. Click OK.

STEP #6

Once the file exports, open the MP3tag program.

Go to file -> change directory and select the directory with mp3 files for the course.

STEP #7

Select one of the files and fill in following information on the left side:


  • Title: usually Module # - Lesson #

  • Artist: always Better Trader Academy

  • Album: course name

  • Year: the year when the course will be published

  • Image: upload the logo of course, resolution about 800px wide.

You can download one of the existing files from one of the previous courses and copy tags from there, paste it to the first lesson of the new course and update it accordingly.

Once you do it, save the tag:

Then copy the tag - right-click -> tag copy:

Step #10:

Select all other files from the course/module, right-click and select tag paste. And then update the lesson name - that will be the only different thing. Then copy it from one module to another to make sure that all information are consistent across the course.

     

SECTION THREE: REPORTING

WHO: Who should be the outcome send to?

> The person who requested it.

WHAT: What are you expecting to see in the outcome?

> MP3 files with tags.

WHEN: When does the person reviewing the outcome want it?

> As soon as possible, it usually takes several hours, at most a couple of days.

HOW: How should the outcome be delivered?

> MP3 file on google drive.
