SECTION ONE: PROCESS OVERVIEW

TITLE: What are you calling this process?

SUMMARY: A one-sentence description of the process.

> Bi-weekly newsletter with an overview of forum activity, to provide updates to our clients, going out every other Saturday.

 

WHY: Briefly explain why the process is important.

> Since the forum is growing bigger and bigger, it is really easy to miss something that is important for them. This brief overview helps others to go through the most important topics that were discussed over the last 2 weeks.

INTERVAL: How often does this process need to be complete?

> Every other Thursday (as it is checked and polished for grammar by Maria overnight and then final check on Friday by Tomas or Andrew)

   

SECTION TWO: PROCESS EXECUTION

STEP #1

Design - images and styles


  • all images need to be resized to the actual width of the image in the on the page

  • all images needs to be compressed, to make the page load faster, using tools like compresspng.com/

  • be consistent with the colors and font sizes and styles. If is it a new page to existing site (or a change on existing page), keep the style and colors

STEP #2

Functions


  • Useproof - need to contact support to add a special flag to every new campaign to capture email conversions

  • Are all links working?

  • Can files be downloaded?

  • Is the registration/thank-you page/email displayed properly?

  • Added tracking code for Facebook, Google Analytics, and HotJar?

  • Does the footer say the right name (e.g. 2016 @BetterTraderAcademy)?


  • Privacy policy link need to open in a new window

  • Forms - check REQUIRED fields

  • Are all videos on BTA Vimeo account?

  • Soes www/non-www and http/https redirect to the same version? Try all 4 combinations (if not, fix by modifying .htaccess)

  • Preferred version with www; https - free SSL certificate required

  • When creating a sales page on the BTA server, don’t forget about websites that are on the BTA domain for the membership section (possible conflict, does the page already exist?)

  • Is the page name correct (in the browser bar next to the favicon)?

  • correct favicon?

  • Check page description, Facebook thumbnail and Facebook description

  • Check the load time of the page and the load time of any embedded forms/information (like the ASK pop up).

     

SECTION THREE: REPORTING

WHO: Who should be the outcome sent to?
