SECTION TWO: PROCESS EXECUTION
Video procedure: https://drive.google.com/open?id=18KsjxCAwZ8GeAIARcT22ZuQW4klHAx5f
STEP #1
Go to https://www.deadlinefunnel.com/ -> Campaigns
Clone an existing campaign depending on what deadlines are needed.
STEP #2
Go to Settings to setup:
- Deadline type
- Deadline length
- Timezone (Should be Chicago for Hybrid and Fixed)
- Date format
This countdown applies to all the pages listed under Funnel Steps, so once a user is accessing any of these pages (usually the first the sales page) the countdown starts. The “after the deadline” links are what the user will see one the countdown has passed.
We can arrange this content depending on the needs - either the countdown can be on the page, or a bar at the top/bottom or it can be hidden - not displayed to the user at all - but still counting.
NOTE: For testing purposes, go to “Testing” tab and reset your own countdown to make sure it works properly
Scroll down if it is needed to reset it for someone else by generating a link for them or sharing the test link with them.
Under event tracking (black menu) we can see the user activity by email, if needed and delete it if needed.
STEP #3
Once we reset for ourselves we can check if it works by accessing one of the pages under Funnel Steps.
The Floating bar is the one on top, eg below:
There are more options regarding how to display the timer/countdown. Eg: For some sale pages we use “Do not display timer” meaning the countdown is still counting but the user does not see the timer.
STEP #4
Appearance tab: Here we can adjust the content - text, colors etc as well as choose templates and add buttons. For example, here we set up the black color of the countdown.
STEP #5
Email Setup tab - here we find the links for personalized email (user) which we can use in Ontraport. This will be for example used as a timer inside emails we send to users with links.
To display the timer in the email use the code below:
We can change the appearance from Edit appearance (content, colors, text, image) or just show nothing.
